As with most jobs, there are a variety of tasks: In preparation for preschool/kindergarten you may engage in teaching the alphabet, number recognition, reading and more. Physical activities may include taking kids on a walk, playing ball or leading a variety of movement exercises. You will be important in providing basic everyday needs for a child.How many hours will I have to work?
Many child care centers open early in the morning and close in the evening to accommodate working parents. The hours you will work vary depending on whether you work for a full-time or part-time service provider.Do I have to go to college?
Initially, when you start working at a child care center you do not need a college degree. However, more centers are seeing the benefit of staff with a background in Early Care and Education. ECE courses can help you understand how a child grows and develops. If you plan on moving up in your career, it is a good idea to consider taking Early Care Education courses at a two-year college or four-year university.Where can I get more Information?

It varies. The amount of money you will earn is based on the job you have and the amount of experience and training you have received. It is best for you to take some early education courses like the kind you'll take during Step III so that you gain knowledge of a child's various developmental stages.
